15th Festival Tradeshow Opens


The presence of Habano in the world market, based on the potentials and characteristics that make it a one-of-a-kind product, were highlighted Tuesday by Cuba’s minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, during the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the 15th Habano Festival Tradeshow that will be taking place alongside the main event at the International Conference Center in Havana, Cuba. 

Mr. Malmierca underscored the fact that of dedicating this year’s fair to Montecristo and Partagas, two brands that have shown top quality and tradition galore for many years. He also praised the turnout of over a thousand participants from 70 nations to the Festival.

Mr. Malmierca congratulated the event’s organizers for taking care of each and every detail on the program. He also extolled some of the fair’s appointments and wished much closer ties between cigar aficionados and Cuba.

The tradeshow will remain in session during the Festival with more than 50 exhibitors from nine countries showcasing their tobacco-related products, items and beverages.
