The 13th Habano Festival is already on schedule: it’s slated from Feb. 21 to 25, 2011. The upcoming gathering of lovers and admirers of the world’s finest tobacco will be opening up a new decade of unlimited possibilities in terms of development and innovation. The realm of habanos is still hearing the echoes of the past 12th edition where the exceptional Cohiba Behike, the most exclusive line ever rolled out by Habanos S.A., was puffed on for the first time.

The announcement was made by Javier Terres, Habanos S.A. vice president for development, at the closing of the 12th edition on Feb. 26. Even though the program and the details will be revealed by the Organizing Committee in coming weeks, those interested in attending the festival must remain on the lookout due to the ever-growing demand and attention triggered by the ultimate habano powwow. Visits to the best tobacco plantations and cigar factories, where visitors can get in touch with the men and women from this industry, are no doubt some of the one-and-only allures this major event in the Cuban capital has to offer.
