Cohiba 1966The most demanding habano smokers have once again the opportunity of tasting a brand-new luxury product with the launch of the exclusive 2011 Cohiba 1966 Edicion Limitada –it isn’t part of Habanos S.A.’s usual portfolio.

Cohiba 1966 (ring gauge 52, 166mm long) celebrates the 45th anniversary of Cohiba, Habanos’ flagship brand, with a one-of-a-kind format specially selected for this occasion.

These habanos have been totally hand-rolled following thorough selection of leaves that have been aged for over two years in farms from San Juan y Martinez* (D.O.P.), San Luis *(D.O.P.) and Vuelta Abajo* (D.O.P.), Cuba.

This 2011 Edicion Limitada has been produced in small quantities.

The habanos were produced by the most experienced cigar rollers in Cuba with a view to please the most demanding smokers.

This vitola is presented in BN boxes that contain 10 units each and is scheduled to hit sale outlets all over the world a few days from now.

Habanos’ Ediciones Limitadas are quite acclaimed and much anticipated every year by cigar buffs from around the planet.

They are characterized by not having their vitolas included in the brand’s traditional portfolio and are distinguished by the thorough selection of leaves –filler, binder and wrapper- which have been aged for a period of time of over two years.
The dark wrapper dressing these Habanos boast, made from the upper leaves of the tobacco plant, is another token to show off.
