In a nip-and-tuck competition that gathered nearly two dozen contestants who should puff on different Habanos completely in the blind, three sommeliers and a trio of professional habano tasters advanced to the grand finale of the Blindfolded Tasting Competition slated for Thursday at the Intl. Conference Center.

Tasters Mercedes Gonzalez from the El Laguito cigar factory; Yudith Sobrino from Partagas, and Agustin San Yee from La Corona, together with sommeliers Leticia from the El Aljibe Restaurant; Orlando Blanco, maître of the Vedado Hotel, and Osiris Oramas, from the El Templete Restaurant, will eventually vie for the top prize in the second edition of this contest that lured Festival attendees and whose last stretch promises to be the very best part.
