Customers of the Casa del Habano in Toronto, Canada, celebrated the arrival of the first 2012 Ediciones Limitadas (Limited Ediciones) brought to them by H. Upmann’s Robusto. Guests gathered at the Tappo Restaurant, nestled in the tourist compound of the Old Distillery’s historic core, in the downtown area.

During a dinner specially prepared for that night and in which different dishes and wines were paired, attendees had the pleasure of tasting the H. Upmann Robustos (ring gauge 50, 124 mm long), a format that doesn’t exist in H. Upmann’s regular portfolio, but it did get great acclaim back in 2008 when it was first rolled out during the Cannes Fair in a travel humidor designed for the Duty Free segment.

The Robustos vitola is one of the most coveted among habano enthusiasts around the world. For that reason, guests swarmed over the Casa del Habano in Toronto where they had the opportunity of feeling its peculiar blend, scent and taste.

Three habano brands will feature Ediciones Limitadas in 2012: Montecristo, Partagas and H. Upmann. The latter has been chosen as the first to hit the markets.

All the habanos that make up the 2012 Edicion Limitada are totally rolled by hand with long filler, featuring selected leaves hailing from the Vuelta Abajo* region in Cuba. These habanos have been hand-rolled in the traditional limited quantities by seasoned Cuban cigar rollers who are always eager to meet the expectations of the most demanding habano smokers on the face of the earth.

In addition to the exquisite Robusto –highly accepted by everybody- patrons at the La Casa del Habano in Toronto also puffed on a Cohiba Robusto and the Edición Regional para Canadá de 2011 (2011 Regional Edition for Canada) brought to them by Juan Lopez Supreme.
