The Habanos Academy, one of the most important projects to teach and spread the culture of Habanos, the world’s finest Premium cigar, has recently reached out Lithuania and Latvia, following the approach of Habanos Nordic to Baltic countries.

Riga hosted in late May 2014 the first edition of the Habanos Academy’s Junior Course, organized by Habanos Nordic A.B (exclusive distributor of Habanos s.a. for Nordic and Baltic countries), which operated in Latvia along with the Tabakas Nams group, the Habanos distributor in that country.

The Habanos Academy’s Junior Course was given by Mr. Anders Jonasson, sales executive of Habanos Nordic A.B, who recently passed the Master course in Havana.

The auditorium was made up representatives from different stores as well as most of the company’s sales staff. The course was also attended by Mrs. Eva Borisenko, who is in charge of the commercial area. They had the opportunity to go into general concepts on Habano and its global brand, such as Cohiba, Montecristo and Partagás.

The junior course represented a productive activity and will help to strengthen and develop the presence and sales of Habanos in Latvia.

SUBTITULAR: HABANOS ACADEMY IN LITHUANIA

In the case of Lithuania, the Habanos Academy’s first Junior course was held on May 8 – 9, 2014, with the participation of more than forty people from Skonis ir Kvapas UAB, the current Habanos distributer in the Lithuanian market.

Habanos Nordic A.B, exclusive distributor of Habanos s.a. for Scandinavian and Baltic countries has recently established a market relation with this Lithuanian company, which owns 25 specialized stores, distributed in the main cities of the country and it presently deals with more than 50 per cent of that country’s market.

The Junior course was given by Johan Lolk, a member of Habanos Nordic A.B, who recently graduated in the master course given in Havana. The participants from different stores, sales agents and the company’s executive team - including its managing director – had the opportunity to learn more on the Habano culture. Global brands like Cohiba, Montecristo, Partagás, etc., were among the tackled topics.

The junior course represents the first step of a strategic plan that will undoubtedly have a positive impact in the growing presence of Habano in Lithuania.
