Over a thousand guests attending the 17th Habano Festival wallowed in all the sensations premium cigars can provide, coupled with foodstuffs and drinks. A good case in point was Habano Moments, a space that has gone stronger within the event and that’s highly coveted by hedonists and smokers from around the world

Four of the biggest producers and distributors within Cuba’s tobacco industry came up with this wedlock between their products and some of the most emblematic habano vitolas.

That was the case of Havana Club, that invited attendees to sip at the golden and centennial bases, and the Union Rum, while puffing on a Cohiba Genios, Maduro 5. For those who like cocktails, the company also fixed a Jasmine Garden and a Beefeater’s Moments, both made up of Beefeater 24 gin, that were eventually paired with the H. Upmann Magnum 46.

Cuba Ron’s proposal was the Cubay Extra Viejo Rum and the Santiago de Cuba 12 Years, combined with the classic Churchills from the Romeo y Julieta brand.

Bodegas Torres took on Malamado wines, Torres 15 brandy and Graham's Six Grades, together with Ron Santiago 11 Years, which were also matched with a Churchill.

Inversiones Pucara introduced the Hob Nob Malbec 2009, Georges Duboeuf Morgon Jean Descombes 2011 and Georges Duboeuf Moulin-A-Vent Domaine des Rosiers 2012. However, those who opted for whisky had the chance of trying the Glenmorangie The Original and Gran’s 12 Years, coupled with almond and hazelnut chocolate. All of them were paired with the Romeo y Julieta Churchills.
