As tradition mandates, festival delegates traveled Tuesday to the land of the world’s finest tobacco. Attendees to the 14th Habano Festival made the most of this Tuesday session.

Both the brand and the factory – an unbreakable unit in the Habano legend – are a genuine promise for those who prefer a distinguished, classic-style Habano.

One of the major highlights during the 13th Habano Festival was the visit to the H. Upmann and Partagas cigar factories, where delegates could take a closer look at the productivity of the industry workers as an outstanding element within the cigar-making process

Every year attendees to the 13th Habano Festival has the opportunity to get in touch with the farming stage of Cuba’s tobacco industry, especially in the Vuelta Abajo region in Pinar del Rio

When it comes to making Habanos, leaves hailing from this region –home to the world’s best black tobacco and the only one which produces all leaves for filler, binder and wrapper- are basically used. And this is owed to the exceptional properties of its soils, special climatic conditions and the deep-rooted planting traditions of its population, which have been handed down from generations to generations.

A colonial city touched by the magic wand of eternity, dazzling for its untainted distinction nearly five centuries after its foundation, shrouds with its larger-than-life legend the Trinidad habano brand.

The 20th edition of the Encuentro de Clientes y Amigos de Partagás will be held from 15th to 19th of November, 2010. The event, which is organized by the La Casa del Habano Partagás includes a welcome night as well as visits to tourist places and a Gala dinner as a farewell for smokers. In this occasion, there’s another reason to celebrate: The 165th anniversary of the Partagás factory.

A new local of La Casa del Habano has been launched by DGR Cigars, S.A. de C.V. in Cozumel, Mexico.
La Casa del Habano is a trademark internationally registered under Habanos S.A. ownership made up by a successful chain of stores under franchise.

Under the pretext of launching the Cohiba Behike line –the most exclusive Habanos S.A. has ever rolled out- the El Laguito cigar factory was one of the meeting grounds for the lucky attendants to the 12th Habano Festival for they had the chance of seeing the rollers of Cohiba Behike, the most exclusive habano line that will be puffed on for the first time ever at the Closing Dinner.

For many, Cuba’s westernmost province is the most beautiful in the country. Its charms and scenery –the dream landscape for the most experienced ecotourists- include a genuine gem of world nature, the Viñales Valley, declared World Cultural Landscape by UNESCO, while the fertile lands of San Juan y Martinez and its surroundings boast the globe’s finest black tobacco leaves, the ones that are used for making habanos.
