Excelencias Gourmet Magazine Taste Pairing between Habanos & Legendario


Habanos Hoyo de Monterrey and LegendarioHabanos Hoyo de Monterrey and LegendarioHabanos Hoyo de Monterrey and LegendarioHabanos Hoyo de Monterrey and LegendarioAn exclusive pairing-after-lunch conversation between distinctive products such as Habano, Petit Robusto of Hoyo de Monterrey, and the brand-new Elixir of Ron Legendario, crowned the lunch during the first day of Excelencias Gourmet International Gastronomic Seminar, held at Melia Habana hotel, on July 11 – 12, 2012.

Introduced by Master Rum Maker Diasney Garcia, and sommelier Pedro Tejeda, from the emblematic Bodeguita del Medio, both products were acclaimed by over two hundred people attending the two-day event, where topics such as communication, advertisement, new trends and cuisine quality were tackled.

Petit Robusto of Hoyo de Monterrey, a mild-to-soft taste and short-puff cigar, very sought-after due to its delicate bouquet and 20-minute smoke time, found the ideal partner in Elixir of Ron Legendario, an extraordinary liquor, the result of the finest Cuban cane honey, which features an exquisite taste despite its high alcohol level.

The Master Rum Maker presentation was followed by the lighting-a-habano ritual carried out by the habano sommelier.

Promoted by Grupo Excelencias, specifically by Excelencias Gourmet magazine, the meeting was devoted to exploring the close relationship that undoubtedly exists among communication, identity and gastronomy.

Directors, managers, workers, chefs, barmen, sommeliers, specialized staff, marketing and P.R specialists made up the public that exchanged and assimilated experiencesduring these days of constant interaction, accompanied by a large representation from the private restoring sector that praised the successful pairing between two internationally acclaimed Cuban products.
