H. Upmann Robustos Añejados: a new line for a new year


Showing once again its avant-garde breaths and its innovative spirit, the Habanos S.A. international corporation, launched this December 22nd at the Parque Central Hotel the H. Upmann Robustos Añejados line, with the aim of satisfying the highest demands and standards of the global market.

The presentation was chaired by Leopoldo Cintras González, Commercial Vice President of the leading premium cigar company, who said that it is a special edition in limited quantities and in a single release, which makes it more unprecedented and valuable.

The launch of H. Upmann Robustos Añejados (50 mm ring gauge x 124 mm long) continues the successful concept that was presented at the beginning of 2015 with the Romeo and Julieta Pirámides Añejados and Montecristo Churchills Añejados brands, followed by Partagás Coronas Gordas Añejadas and Hoyo de Monterrey Hermosos No.4 in 2016.

The new product  joins the list of authentic and innovative proposals of the most prestigious company in the universe of Premium Cigars, with the peculiarity that they are Habanos made from an aging process for a minimum of five years on Cuban soil, under strict conditions of conservation.

Its technical specifications as to tasting indicate that this process respects the original organoleptic characteristics, such as flavor, texture, smell and color, while at the same time allowing it to gain other peculiar nuances. Thus, the final product is a little more round and pleasant to the palate, with delicate and sweet notes of flavor, explains Cintras González.

Other notorious characteristics are the woody nuance of the flavor, obtained thanks to the years of rest next to the cedar that protects it, and its elaboration with the best leaves of cigar tobacco, in Pinar del Río, hand-rolled totally by experienced Cubans, he referred.

The vitola does not exist in the brand's standard portfolio, being only used for the Limited Edition in 2012 and in the launch of a Travel Humidor designed exclusively for the Duty Free and Travel Retail airport channels.

The Habaños Añejados are sold in their totally original boxes, those that have remained unused during the whole aging process and that have been dressed with the corresponding ratings of each brand for their release to the market.

Meanwhile, the new line stands out for its presentation in a box, with double ring, external strick with the legend "Añejos" and with vitolina in which the concept is explained, and you can check, from the bottom of the box, the date of the rolling and the additional stamp with the word "Revisado" (checked) giving this new proposal a signature of authenticity ready to go on the market and available at the points of sale around the world in the coming weeks.
