Habano Festival’s Tradeshow Doles Out Top Honors

During the award ceremony at the Intl. Conference Center in Havana, prizes and recognitions were handed out to participating companies that this time around gathered producers and suppliers of articles related to habanos and other items.

For the first time ever in this year’s festival, the prize in the Comprehensive Communication category went to Cuban-Brazilian joint venture Brascuba, while the honorary mention was given to Cuba’s Distribuidora CIMEX.

In the category of Best Modular Booth the winner was also CIMEX Distribuidora, while top honors for the Best Booth in Freestyle Design was for Cuba’s ARCA and the honorary mention for Promocigar, a Cuban-Spanish company.

The recognition to the most-visited booth was for Cuba’s Tecnoazucar.

The keynote speech that wrapped up the award ceremony was delivered by Estrella Madrigal, president of Cuba’s Chamber of Commerce, who praised the tradeshow and highlighted the close ties between culture and the country’s traditions, widely seen in the products exposed during the event.

In addition to the attendance of producers and distributors of humidors, cigar cutters, lighters and other related items from the world of habanos, some exhibitors showcased their stocks of beverages, coffee, chocolate, lobsters and other delicatessens.
