Habanos S.A. Awarded in Inter-Tabac Dortmund Fair, Germany

The exquisite habanos grabbed countless awards once again at the Inter-Tabac Fair 2011, which took place 23-25 September in Dortmund, Germany, and is considered the most important for cigars in Europe.

The Habanos S.A. winning products were:

- "2011 Best of Best", granted to Cohiba Behike (the whole series) by Cigar Clan to the Cuban Cigar of the Year

- 2011 Cigar Trophy granted by the Cigar Journal (formerly ECCJ) to Cohiba Behike (the whole series)

- 2011 Inter-Tabac Stars granted to Sancho Panza Escuderos Regional Edition by specialized journal Tabak-Zeitung to the newest long filler, presented by 5th Avenue Products, exclusive distributor of Habanos S.A. in Germany.

5th Avenue Products, Habanos’ exclusive distributor in Germany, also gave an award to the Habanos Expert of the Year that went to TABAK-KONTOR, from Leipzig, in the hands of Mr. Martin Schenke and Mr. Dirk Kinne.

This is not the first time that the quality and exclusivity of habanos are highlighted in this European smokers’ fair. Years ago during the Inter-Tabac Fair, Habanos S.A. products were recognized by their outstanding quality and their great public acclaim.

In 2010, the Best of Best top honors, granted by specialized magazine Cigar Clan, went to Special Hoyo de Monterrey.
On the other hand, specialized magazine European Cigar Journal granted the 2010 Cigar Trophies award in the Best Brand category to Cohiba, and in the Best Cigar category to Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios.
 

Other awards doled out during the fair in 2010 were: the European Cigar Cult Journal to Cohiba Behike line –equally praised by the distinguished Cigar Clan.

Inter-Tabac Fair 2009 recognized the Bolivar and Partagas Series D No. 5 Edicion Limitada 2008, while the 2010 edition highlighted Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure Especial, Cohiba and Cohiba Maduro 5 Genios.

Inter-Tabac international fair of cigar products and accessories is a major event for both communication and trade, offering a one-and-only range of products and services provided by over 200 exhibitors.
 

Among the fair’s categories, there are cigars, cigarettes, pipes, smokers’ accessories, loose tobacco, pipe tobacco, smoking paper, cigarette vending machines and more.

Habanos S.A. and its exclusive distributor in Germany, Fifth Avenue Products Trading GMBH, exhibited their new products as well as their bestselling items that have for years basked in the limelight in the German and world markets. They were exposed in Room 4, Booth 4.C18.
 

The Habanos S.A. booth displayed the much-anticipated Cohiba Behike with its three new brands (BHK 52, BHK 54 and BHK 56), as well as the new Romeo y Julieta and Wide Churchill. A habano specially designed for women (Julieta) from Romeo y Julieta was also exposed. Also the 2010 Edicion Limitada Grand Edmundo from Montecristo, Partagas Special D Series and Short Robustos T from Trinidad made headlines.

The turnout of visitors to this event increases with each passing year, thus underscoring the importance of Inter-Tabac for cigar producers and its trade. Inter-Tabac Fair took place this year in the German city of Dortmund, during September 17-19.
