Habanos S.A. Unveils the Bolivar Soberano Limited Edition in Hong Kong

Bolívar Soberano Limited Edition for 2018 was presented in November by The Pacific Cigar in Hong Kong, in a factory vitola called Duke, totally unprecedented in this brand’s portfolio.

The presentation of Bolívar Soberano took place in an event where attendees could puff on this select Habano, as well as enjoy several other surprises.

Bolívar Soberano (ring gauge 54 x 140 mm long) was presented in a special 10-unit case. With Soberano, the factory vitola "Duke" is launched for the first time, totally unseen in this brand’s portfolio. It is a strong-tasting Habano whereby rookie smokers can enjoy the brand’s balanced and scented blend in a completely new size.

The Habanos Limited Editions are very appreciated and anticipated by enthusiasts every year. They are marked by being vitolas that are not in the regular stock of a particular brand’s portfolio, distinguished by a careful selection of all its leaves for wrapper, filler and binder, which have been aged for a period of not less than two years.

All the Habanos that make up the Limited Editions are made “Totally by Hand with Long Filler” and with selected leaves from the Vuelta Abajo* area, in the region of Pinar del Río*, Cuba*, in very small quantities and rolled by seasoned Cuban cigar-rollers who go the extra mile to make sure they meet the expectations of the most demanding Habano lovers.

The Bolívar brand was founded in 1902 and owes its name to Simón Bolívar, one of the great figures of the 19th century who has gone down in history as the liberator of a considerable chunk of South America from the Spanish rule. Therefore, and in keeping with the character of the historical figure the brand is named after, this Habano is characterized by strong flavor. Undoubtedly, Bolívar is one of the strongest brands of all those that make up the realm of Habanos.
