Habanosommelier Contest, Latin Americans Advance to the Finale

After their international competitions, these habanosommeliers arrived in Havana for the preliminary round.
The evaluation was thorough in the theoretical field and far more demanding in the practical sphere. In this first stage, competitors can chalk up 30 points tops, plus 70 in the demonstration for a grand total of 100.
All were up to par with the requirements, yet the balance tipped toward Latin America. The jury ruled the best outcomes were obtained by reps from the Western Hemisphere.
Cuba’s Daniel Reyes, Chile’s Andres Arteaga and Mexico’s Luis Suarez will battle for the grand prize on March 2.
