New Quai d’Orsay Gets Big Break in Paris

Seita Cigarros  invited over retailers, journalists, decision-makers  and habano aficionados to attend the launch of the new Quai d’Orsay at the celebrated Harcourt photo studio in Paris.

The new vitolas from the Quai D’Orsay brand were unveiled by Habanos S.A. co-president Luis Sanchez-Harguindey Pardo de Vera at the lovely locale, a token of art and luxury in the French capital.

Mr. Pardo de Vera highlighted the new challenges on the road ahead for Quai d’Orsay, a brand specially created by Seita back in 1974. “There are challenges on the road ahead and we’re confident this new global strategy will meet our expectations. Up to now, most of our exclusive distributors have requested the two new vitolas –No. 50 and No. 54. This means the brand’s marketing coverage will reach out to approximately a hundred countries around the world.”

For his part, Antoine Bathie, general manager of Seita Cigarros, an exclusive distributor of Quai d’Orsay and José L. Piedra in France, said “the redesign of Quai d’Orsay is the result of an excellent collaboration between the marketing teams of both Seita and Habanos S.A. We’re very proud of being the first Habanos S.A. distributor to deliver the first boxes of these habanos to our customers in coming weeks.”

Quai d’Orsay is made up of Coronas Claro (ring gauge 42 x 142 mm), N°50 (ring gauge 50 x 110 mm – D5) and N°54 (ring gauge 54 x 135 mm – Edmundo Grueso). During the event, guests had the chance to puff on the new vitolas decked out with a Harcourt double band. They blended perfectly with champagne and other French delicacies.

In addition to this epicurean moment, each aficionado had the opportunity to be photographed next to the “B & W Harcourt Style” at the legendary studio, just as many celebrities and beautiful people have done there since 1934.
